Marvin Tang (b.1989) is a visual artist from Singapore who uses photography as a tool of investigation.

He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts at the School of Art, Design and Media (NTU) and is currently pursuing his Masters in Photography at the University of the Arts London.

His research is motivated by the need to understand how identity and social habits are shaped by various narratives and governmental policies. By examining the contemporary landscapes, he works towards establishing a new understanding of our environment that defines our being.

Marvin is a recipient of the CAPA Asia Portfolio Review Prize at the 5th Singapore International Photography Festival in 2016 and a recipient of the Kwek Leng Joo Prize of Excellence in Photography in 2015. He received first prize for the student category at the National Geographic: Light and Life competition organised by Nanyang Technological University in 2015.

He is also part of SUPERHERO ME, a ground-up inclusive arts movement and a self-publish artist-book platform THEBOOKSHOW both based in Singapore.
